Wellbeing in QEII
At Queen Elizabeth II Primary School, we prioritise the emotional health and wellbeing of our whole school
community, including our pupils, families, staff, governors and beyond.
At QEII, we believe that a child’s wellbeing is the foundation for their success, happiness, and personal growth. When wellbeing is prioritised, children develop resilience, emotional awareness, and a positive outlook—skills that help them face challenges and build strong, healthy relationships.
To support this, we are proud to be part of the Education Authority’s Being Well Doing Well programme. This whole-school initiative helps us strengthen the emotional health and wellbeing practices already in place at Ashgrove. Through this programme, pupils and staff gain a deeper understanding of emotional wellbeing, promote open conversations, challenge stigma, and ensure staff are equipped to recognise and respond to the mental health needs of our children.
